Gustine Museum Exhibit is the Gustine Museum

On display are photos of the original building that served as the Merced County Justice Courthouse and Jail. Later it became headquarters for the Gustine Police Department. Items from the Gustine Police Department are on display. The first exhibit featured the Gustine Motorcycle Club. Some of their display items will be available. Special items in the exhibit will be photos and articles of Elizabeth Bettencourt who spearheaded the movement to turn the former Courthouse and Jail into the Gustine Museum as it is known today. Other memorable items are photos of those who worked hard to establish the museum which opened on July 4, 1990.

The Gustine Historical Society wishes to express sincere thanks and appreciation to the community who donated or loaned pictures and other memorabilia for this exhibit.
